While professionals lie for different reasons, their falsehoods almost never does good for the individual told the lie. And there’s that one unquestionable certainty about dishonesty. All people does it, but I don’t known anyone likes it when it’s done to them.

It takes a minimum of two individuals for a fallacy to be effective—one to offer the dishonesty and one to think it. And while we surely can’t stop professionals from trying to lie to us, we can keep them from doing well.
